Senior Process Engineer, Production

David Roberts is a Senior Process Engineer in the Production Department at Paraclete Energy. He has more than 20 years of experience working directly with control systems, metals processing, robotics, and electrical and mechanical equipment in manufacturing settings where safety, consistency, and equipment condition determine whether work succeeds or fails.

At Paraclete, Dave works directly on lab and production equipment, operating systems under established SOPs and machine manuals while documenting conditions as runs progress. He monitors equipment behavior, flags changes as they appear, assists with maintenance activities, and carries out clean changeovers. This attention to containment and cleaning is especially important in processes involving nanoscale materials, where residue or process drift can compromise subsequent runs.

Before joining Paraclete, Dave worked in manufacturing at Hoskings Mfg. and Rosedale Mfg., where he spent time running and setting up automated equipment. He later worked as a robotic programmer and operator on plasma-cutting systems. Outside of manufacturing, he owned and operated a home restoration business, which required hands-on problem solving, equipment upkeep, and day-to-day quality control. Those habits still shape how he approaches production work.
